This is the shocking moment a biker crashes into a mother and baby and sends them both flying.

The incident took place in the municipality of Chalco, in the state of Mexico, on the outskirts of the capital, with local media reports on 9th October saying that the woman was walking in the middle of the road when the motorcycle rider hit her from behind.

The footage shows the biker sending the woman and her baby flying after hitting her at speed.

Both the biker and the woman, along with her baby, fall to the ground. A passenger riding a pillion also falls to the ground.

The woman and baby then lie motionless while the biker gets back to his feet and checks on them.

Other passers-by quickly gather around as the footage ends.
The woman reportedly suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital, but at the time of writing, there were no updates on her health.

It is also currently unclear how seriously the child was injured.
It is unclear if the police are investigating the incident.
