This is the dramatic moment a PETA activist in see-through clothes hit the Armani fashion show in a protest over the use of animal skins in fashion.

The woman, wearing an imitation snakeskin overall and holding a placard that read 'Armani: Drop Wild Animal Skins' walked down the catwalk to pressure the designer to stop using animal skins in his collections.

Footage from New York City on October 18 shows the protester dousing herself with fake blood before parading on the catwalk, with security reportedly forcefully bundling her out of the building.

Animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) condemns the killing of animals such as snakes, crocodiles, lizards, and ostriches for clothing.

PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman said: 'While Armani peddles his wares in New York City, the vulnerable animals sentenced to die for his designs languish in pain and filth before they're violently killed.'
