US, Los Angeles: Hesperia Medical Transport Helicopter Vandalized

10/27/2024 08:00 am (GMT-0700) | HESPERIA, Calif. – Early Sunday morning at the Hesperia Airport located on Santa Fe Avenue in the city of Hesperia, a Bell 407 Mercy Air Helicopter (Tail Number N160AM) was found vandalized with graffiti along the left side of the aircraft. The incident appeared to have occurred overnight.
The Hesperia Airport, which provides a landing pad for the helicopter, has filed a police report for the incident. The helicopter crew for Mercy Air declined further comments.
The helicopter’s last recorded flight was Saturday morning from 5:00 a.m. to 5:11 a.m. It has not been airborne since. This helicopter is used for emergency medical transportation to trauma centers, commonly known as “life-flights,” and has been deemed out of service due to this incident.
At this time, it is unknown if the suspects have been identified and placed into custody.
