10/27/2024 11:22 pm (GMT-0700) | SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – A water truck believed by law enforcement to be stolen from a Santa Clarita auto dealership slammed into another motorist in the city’s Valencia neighborhood.
The incident unfolded shortly before 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Wiley Canyon Road and Tournament Road when a Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputy requested help for a hit-and-run.
The driver of the possibly stolen water truck fled the scene by jumping into the backyard of a residence on Avenida Crescenta in the Old Orchard housing tract before disappearing into darkness.
