A fireworks shop erupted in flames, sending explosives hurtling toward customers.

Police reported that a woman sustained minor injuries, and at least eight cars parked nearby were damaged in Hyderabad, India, on October 27.

Footage shows men stampeding out of the establishment as firecrackers ignited, emitting loud bangs, sparks, and fumes. Frantic locals can be heard screaming.

Emergency personnel, along with three fire engines, were immediately deployed to the scene to prevent the fire from spreading to other buildings in the densely packed area.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.

K Shankar, Assistant Commissioner of Police for Sultan Bazar, has stated that strict action will be taken against those responsible, as quoted by India Today.

Firecrackers and fireworks are significant pyrotechnic devices in India, used for religious festivities and cultural events. As a result, firework-related injuries are common in the country, with hundreds of individuals injured or killed each year.
