An Indian news wire reporter was allegedly stabbed to death in a suspected property dispute.
Journalist Dilip Saini died, and his friend Shahid is in critical condition after 16 men reportedly broke into their home and assaulted them with knives in Fatehpur, India, on October 30.
CCTV shows the aftermath of the alleged attack before Dilip, who worked for ANI, was carried away in an ambulance. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police said the suspects vandalised cars parked outside the reporter's home before fleeing, causing shock and fear among residents.
CO City Sushil Dubey confirmed that a case of assault, vandalism, and illegal detention has been registered, linking the attack to a property dispute. Nine suspects have been identified by name, while the remaining individuals are yet to be pinned down.
Authorities reported they are conducting raids and a thorough investigation in a manhunt operation to locate the other assailants.
