Artist loops strings around board to make string portrait
An artist made an awesome portrait by looping strings around a board.
Timelapse footage shows Samboy Magsanoc layering the thread around the pins he put on the canvas until an image was formed in Pangasinan, the Philippines.
Samboy's finished work showed the Filipino Olympian Carlos Yulo's face, and said he was inspired when he won a gold medal at the Paris Olympics.
He said: 'I learned to do this by accident when I attended a program at our local fire station. They advocated for youths trying art.'
Samboy added it takes at least a week to finish one portrait.
He said: 'It takes time and effort to make one but I am happy when I do it. Hours seem to fly away.'
