Duck army invades road and holds up traffic
An army of ducks invaded a road and held up traffic for passing cars.
The farm birds were marching together back to their home after a day of feeding on snails and other pests at the local rice fields when driver Drew Valdez spotted them in Sultan Kudarat province, the Philippines on October 25.
Footage shows hundreds of Pateros breed ducks huddling as they waddled forward on one side of the road.
However, the Pateros army moved to the other lane blocking the way for a car behind.
Drew said: 'The ducks invaded the road. It was impassable for a few minutes.'
In Southeast Asia, ducks are often used as natural pesticides in agricultural practices, particularly rice farming. They are natural foragers that love to eat insects, larvae, snails, and even weeds.
