This is the hilarious moment a lion dancer 'stole' a baby girl in a stroller.

The lively performer approached the toddler sitting in the baby carriage during a festival show at a public square in Foshan, China, on November 29.

Footage shows the yellow lion dragging the pram onto the stage, prompting the young girl to burst into tears, extending her hands as if asking for her parents' help to retrieve her.

This caused festivalgoers to laugh at the child's reaction.

Upon realising that the baby was crying, the dancer gently pushed the stroller back to her parents to calm her down.

Lion dances are performed during the Chinese New Year, at grand openings of new businesses, and at weddings and birthday celebrations accompanied by a drum, a gong, and cymbals. They are performed to ward off evil and bring good fortune.
