Young boy in China smiles through blood draw
This is the amusing moment a young boy in China smiled through a blood draw.
The four-year-old child put on a brave smile while a nurse collected blood from his veins at a local hospital in Zhejiang on September 12.
Footage shows the boy smiling at his parents and laughing to shift his attention away from the impending pain of the syringe.
However, when the hospital staff began to administer the injection, he started to frown, nearly crying from the pain.
He can be seen pulling himself together, managing to calm down, which impressed his parents and the nurse with his bravery.
The father said: 'We tried our best to make sure he would not get hurt from the pain, and the only way we could think of doing this was to act happy and excited, encouraging him to do the same.'
