Drivers were shocked when they saw a couple romping on a scooter parked on a busy road in Thailand.

The pair pulled over to the kerb on the rural road without even bothering with a lay-by as the woman stretched out on the seat on the island of Phuket.

Her partner appeared to hitch up her skirt, exposing her legs to passing motorists, as he began kissing her during the tryst on October 22.


Shocked locals slammed the couple's brazen behaviour, accusing them of public indecency near one of the island's most popular sunset-viewing spots.

Local authorities said they have received reports and are considering legal action. If caught, the couple may be fined 500 baht (12 GBP) under Thailand's obscenity laws.

The case came after another couple were caught having sex on a high-rise balcony in 'Sin City' Pattaya.

The tourists sparked outrage when they romped in broad daylight at the Sunset Boulevard Residence condominium, next to a bustling residential area along Pattaya Second Road, on October 15.

Police said they were aware of the incident, but added the case was a low-priority.
