Nursing student faints while taking a sample of her own blood
A nursing student sparked panic among her classmates when she fainted while taking her own blood sample.
Footage shows Sam pricking a finger and squeezing it to release droplets during a lab session at Southern Luzon State University in Quezon, the Philippines.
She seemed to struggle as she held her hand above a glass slide, waiting for it to drop.
At first, the trainee appeared fine and even placed a palm on her chest before laughing with peers, but she suddenly tipped backwards.
Student Ricmar Bagayan said: ‘We were doing laboratory experiment by taking blood sample from our fingers.
‘She did not know she had low blood pressure that time. She felt dizzy and fainted.'
Her friends rushed to assist and called their instructor to check on her.
Sam could stand up in less than ten seconds and was taken to the clinic.
