A 1-year-old lion cub was rescued after it fell into a deep well in Junagadh, Gujarat, on December 17.

A farmer, who was drawing water from the well, noticed the cub and immediately alerted the authorities. A group of four lions was also spotted in the vicinity.

Responding swiftly, personnel from the Amrapur Animal Care Center arrived at the scene. Using specialized rescue equipment, including a rope, they conducted a three-hour operation to safely pull the cub from the well.
