Los Angeles, United States - December 16, 2024 12/16/2024 08:45 pm (GMT-0800) EL MONTE, Calif. – The El Monte Police Department and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Homicide Bureau are investigating the circumstances surrounding a deadly officer-involved shooting in front of a Chase Bank in the city of El Monte. The incident took place at approximately 8:45 p.m. Monday in the 11000 block of Valley Boulevard. The suspect, a male adult, was struck by gunfire and pronounced deceased at the scene by the Los Angeles County Fire Department, according to the LASD. It is not known at this time if the suspect had a weapon. El Monte PD had multiple streets closed as they investigated the fatal officer-involved shooting. No officers were injured during the incident. There is no additional information available at this time.
