STORYLINE:
The 2025 cruise season at Tianjin International Cruise Home Port in north China officially kicked off on Friday, as the cruise ship "Dream" set sail with around 1,400 passengers on board, heading to South Korea and Japan.
This year, in addition to the home port cruise ships "Dream" and "Mediterranean," five visiting cruise ships, including "Europa 2" and "Silver Shadow," are expected at the port.
In 2024, Tianjin's Dongjiang border inspection station processed 205 inbound and outbound cruise ships, facilitating nearly 500,000 passenger entries and exits.
The station is expected to handle over 40 cruise ship arrivals and departures in the first quarter of this year alone.
