All government ministries have been directed to improve their performance in boosting Malaysia's tourism, investment, and economic sectors, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said Monday.
Anwar, who also serves as finance minister, delivered a speech at the launch of the Visit Malaysia 2026 Campaign. The prime minister urged each of Malaysia's states to leverage its own particular strengths in order to attract visitors.
Anwar also emphasized that the comprehensive involvement of all parties in the campaign would enable the nation to achieve its targets of 35.6 million tourist arrivals and 147.1 billion ringgit (32.5 billion U.S. dollars) in resulting income.
