On December 31, in Xinqiao Village, Muchuan County, Leshan, Sichuan Province, a white SUV traveling at high speed lost control while navigating a curve without reducing speed, crashing directly into a roadside house.

Surveillance footage shows the moment of impact: the vehicle became airborne, with the right rear tire detaching, and then crashed through the wall of the house, plowing into the interior.

The main wall of the house was left with a large hole, bricks scattered everywhere, and severe interior damage. At least two rooms were deemed uninhabitable, and the house has been classified as "unsafe for living." Fortunately, the homeowner was out cutting bamboo at the time, narrowly avoiding the accident.

The SUV sustained significant damage, with its body severely deformed and the front covered by debris from the building. The vehicle is likely beyond repair. The driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, escaped with only minor injuries.

According to the homeowner's family, the house is usually occupied during the day, but it happened to be empty at the time of the incident, making it a case of good fortune amidst misfortune.

The incident is under further investigation. Discussions regarding compensation for the property damage are ongoing between the insurance company and the homeowner.
