Hamburger and vows! Couple get married at Jollibee fast food outlet
A couple held their wedding ceremony at a Jollibee fast food outlet in the Philippines.
Bride Cloi Miranda and her now-husband Leigh gathered their family and friends at the well-loved burger joint, which usually accommodates children's parties.
Footage shows Cloi in her short dress climbing up the store's stairs, holding her white and blue bouquet in Laguna on December 17.
She had a long lace tied to her hair as an alternative to a veil and walked between the aisle towards the front of the dining hall where a priest and her groom waited.
The bride said: 'We often attend children's parties, especially at Jollibee, and my husband also proposed to me right there at Jollibee while we were eating.'
Cloi added that she and her partner love Jollibee's food.
She said: 'When we were just friends three years ago, we used to brag about snacks. I remember he owed me a peach mango pie, our favourite.'
The concept of fast food was introduced to the Philippines through American military presence during and after World War II.
Jollibee was founded in 1978 as an ice cream parlour and expanded to burgers and spaghetti. The menu was adapted to Filipino tastes, incorporating local flavours in a bizarre fusion of Western and Southeast Asian cuisine.
