This is the hilarious moment a groom jokingly brushed his teeth before doing a symbolic first kiss with the bride.

Rowel Jan Duldulao and his bride, Jhobel Dames, had tied the knot with the priest, announcing that the couple could kiss before his groomsmen asked him to check his dental hygiene.

Footage shows Rowel Jan flashing his teeth so his friends could brush them. He also sipped water from his other groomsman's cup and gargled.

When his mouth was fresh, he wiped the water onto his sleeve, and the guests cheered for the couple's kiss, sealing the ceremony.

Faith Esteban of Candid Captures by Isa, the wedding's photographer, said: 'The groom and his best men planned the idea.

'Everyone was surprised when the groomsmen interrupted the kiss and helped the groom brush his teeth first.'
