STORYLINE:
A tunnel across China's longest river the Yangtze in east China's Anhui Province was fully connected on Sunday.
The tunnel is the first of its kind in the Anhui section of the Yangtze River.
Measuring 5,965-meter long, it is a two-way six-lane urban expressway with a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour.
The tunnel is expected to be put into use in July, allowing drivers to cross the river in just five minutes.
