Out of favour Marcus Rashford trained with his Manchester team mates on Wednesday morning, despite manager Ruben Amorim claiming he’d rather play 63-year-old goalkeeping coach Jorge Vital than the attacker.

The new ‘Red Devils’ boss has made it clear that there is no room in his squad for players who do not give 100 per cent to the cause.

“It's always the same reason - the training, the way I see a footballer should do in life,” said the Portuguese boss, when asked why Rashford had not appeared for the club since mid-December. “It's every day, every detail. If things don't change, I will not change.”

Amorim’s side, who face FCSB on Thursday evening, currently sit in fourth place in the 36-team Europa League table with 15 points from seven games.

The top eight clubs qualify automatically for the knockout phase without having to play a two-legged play-off tie in February.
