A Chinese medical team in Kiribati provided free health services on Wednesday for elderly people at a community in Tarawa, the capital of the island nation.
Chinese doctors conducted free health checkups, monitored levels of blood glucose and blood pressure, created health records, and offered guidance on disease control and prevention.
Local residents offered snacks to the Chinese doctors as tokens of appreciation.
The five-member medical team arrived in Kiribati in December 2024. It was the fourth batch to arrive for a one-year medical assistance mission.
