According to data from Horgos Customs, the Horgos Port in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region saw the total cargo volume increase by 9.1 percent year on year to about 45.57 million tonnes in 2024, ranking first among Xinjiang's border ports for seven consecutive years.
In 2024, the imported commodities mainly consisted of mechanical and electrical products, unwrought copper and copper material, and metal ore and ore. The exported commodities included new-energy vehicles, mechanical and electrical products, high-tech products, clothing, and textile yarn.
