This is the shocking moment a bus driver knocked a worker standing next to a toll booth in India.

The public vehicle was caught on camera driving over one of the employee's legs at Ghamroj toll plaza in Gurugram, Haryana, on February 2.

Officials said the incident unfolded while toll booth staff were confronting the occupants of a silver sedan.

After the heated argument, the car in front of the bus drove away, at which point the suspected driver immediately accelerated, hitting the man.

CCTV footage shows the victim dropping to the ground as his colleagues immediately rushed to help him, while others ran after the bus.

Onlookers said that the bus managed to flee the area and was not caught by the group.

The seriously injured worker was then rushed to a nearby hospital. Police reportedly arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation into the alleged hit and run.
