US, Los Angeles: Sunland Mudslide Blocks Roadway
Los Angeles, United States - February 13, 2025 02/13/2025 12:00 am (GMT-0800) SUNLAND, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A large mudslide was reported in the area, leaving drivers stuck in traffic on both sides of the north and southbound lanes on Big Tujunga Canyon at mile marker 0.44. Angeles National Forest personnel arrived at the scene with shovels and attempted to move the mud away from the roadway, but it was thick and about three feet high in some areas. Around 7:00 p.m., an excavator arrived at the location and moved the mud to the side. The roadway was reopened on one side shortly after 7 p.m. No injuries were reported.
