Bodycam footage released by the sheriff’s office shows the deputy standing next to a vehicle from a previous accident when the truck came barreling toward him, hitting another car nearby. Fortunately, the deputy was not injured, though another person was standing close by but also avoided being struck. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reminded drivers to slow down in snowy conditions and to move over when they see emergency lights, urging extreme caution when driving in winter weather. "Drive as if your loved ones are standing there on the road," the sheriff’s office stated.
