A naughty youngster triggered a fire alarm and ran as the sprinklers activated at a shopping centre in Russia.

Panic erupted at a mall in Kursk when a fire alert went off suddenly on Thursday evening, February 13.

Firefighters from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS) responded swiftly and found no fire after conducting a search.

Upon reviewing the surveillance cameras, authorities identified the person who activated the system.

Footage reveals a young boy pressing the fire safety button, triggering the alarm. The youngster and his companion then ran in fear as white smoke surrounded the area.

MChS officials urged parents to teach their children safety rules to prevent similar incidents that could lead to serious consequences.
