United States - February 26, 2025 A small plane crashed into a remote southern Vermont mountain on Wednesday morning. Three people were injured. Emergency crews faced tough challenges to reach them. The aircraft slammed into Mount Equinox, a 3,000-foot peak, around 8:30 a.m. on February 26 It had left Baltimore at 6 a.m., per FlightRadar24 data. Rescue teams found the wreckage by 11:30 a.m. The injured were evaluated and airlifted. Snow, ice, and fog plagued the area. The remote location added to the struggle. Manchester Town Manager Scott Murphy called conditions “difficult.” Police, fire, and rescue crews pushed through. The Manchester Fire Department led the effort.
