A girl regretted teasing her pet American Bully when it bit her in the face.

Joanna was sitting with the one-year-old pooch named Nami when it attacked her while she played with its ear in Cebu, the Philippines, on January 26.

Footage shows Joanna mockingly growling at the ear of the canine when it lunged at her mouth.

The youngster's lip was wounded, and she tearfully went to the bedroom to check her face in the mirror.

Joanna said: 'Nami has complete vaccines, so I was not scared, but I would definitely not do that again.'

American Bullies are not naturally aggressive when properly bred and raised.

They were developed from American Pit Bull Terriers and American Staffordshire Terriers but were specifically bred to have a gentle and affectionate temperament.
