Panicking woman rescued from 23ft deep well in Thailand
A panicked woman was rescued from a 23ft (7m) deep well in Thailand.
Nui, 35, fell into an abandoned well on an oil palm plantation behind her house in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province on Sunday evening, March 9.
Villagers heard Nui scream for help and quickly called the emergency services to save her.
Officials arrived and placed a ladder over the mouth of the well, then set up a makeshift pulley using a rope.
Footage shows a rescuer inside the well, assisting in tying the cord around the distressed woman's body.
More than 10 villagers helped pull Nui, who reportedly sustained injuries. She was taken to Thung Tai Hospital for a medical examination.
The cause of the incident remains unclear, but villagers believe a 'ghost' led her into the well, as this was the second time Nui had fallen in the same spot, just a few days ago.
Authorities, on the other hand, warn residents to ensure wells are properly covered or at least marked with signage to prevent similar accidents.
