Rangapanchami is celebrated five days after Dulendi or Holi, but it is not the usual Holi colours that paint the atmosphere around, rather it is the colour of music that fills the air. Indore has its own style of celebrating Rang Panchami. Here, it is celebrated like Dulendi, but colours are mixed with water and then poured on others.

At the event of the festival, the local municipal corporation today sprinkled colour mixed water on the main streets of old Indore. Earlier, they used Fire Brigade vehicles for this purpose. But now customized vehicles are used to sprinkle colour-mixed water and colour powders. Gulal (Color mixed powders) was blown up to 100 feet from a machine and a tricolour was made from gulal.

Rangapanchami is an age-old festival, which was celebrated during the Holkar reign and continues to be celebrated to date. Hundreds of thousands of people gathered for this event in the morning. The procession started from Srijan Sangam Corner and reached the Gaurakund intersection where a large number of people celebrated the festival by dancing and sprinkling colours on others. This is no ordinary festival as Gair transforms the streets into a colourful, high-energy spectacle with dhol beats, dance, and an electrifying atmosphere!
