School tug of war goes wrong when rope snaps in half
A school tug of war went wrong when the rope snapped in half.
The pupils played the game during the Pathumthep Witthayakarn School's sports day, but had an unexpected turn of events.
Footage shows the competitive kids pulling on the cord with all their strength before it broke between them.
The two teams were sent falling in opposite directions, but no one was hurt. The rope was replaced, and the game was repeated after the mishap in Nong Khai province, Thailand, on April 4.
Student Khwanchira, who was watching the game, said: 'It was the first year that we had a tug of war for the sports day. They would use a thicker rope next year for sure.'
