This is the heartwarming moment a mother hid in a parcel to surprise her son during a homecoming party.

Glaiza Clair Amatorio Vales, 34, flew back to her family in the Philippines after several years working abroad as a nurse in Canada.

The mother recalled teasing her son, Vincent, 10, about preparing packages filled with gifts.

However, to his surprise, the only gift awaiting him was his mother, a reunion more cherished than anything he had anticipated.

Footage shows the family gathered outside their home, eagerly awaiting the touching reconnection in Zamboanga province on April 2.

Glaiza, hidden inside a large box, remained unseen until her sister opened the door to fetch Vincent.

Excited and unaware, Vincent was asked to lift the parcel, only to reveal his mother, who instantly embraced him. As they held each other, confetti burst into the air, adding a celebratory flair to their emotional reunion.

Jonah, the boy's aunt, said: 'My nephew is a sweet boy who always misses his mom. Every day, he calls her just to share the details of his day. They were always together until she left for Canada to work.

'Before that, they spent all their time together, and her absence has been very difficult for him. Despite the distance, their bond remains strong, and their love for each other is unwavering.'
