On April 6th in Heyuan, Guangdong, a near accident caused by a parent's momentary negligence was narrowly avoided—thanks to the quick actions of the family’s golden retriever.

That day, after feeding his baby, a father placed the child in a stroller and went to the kitchen to wash the bottle. In his haste, he forgot to lock the stroller wheels.

Moments after he left, the unlocked stroller began to roll down a slope inside the house. The baby, too young to understand the danger, remained unaware as the stroller gained speed.

Sensing the imminent danger, the family’s golden retriever, “Donggua,” quickly sprang into action. It dashed toward the moving stroller, clamped its mouth onto a strap on the stroller handle, and used all its strength to pull it back—successfully bringing it to a stop.

Hearing the commotion, the father rushed back, scooped up the baby, and sighed in relief upon confirming the child was unharmed. He then knelt down and affectionately patted the golden retriever’s head, his eyes filled with gratitude.
