The fire at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport caused chaos as smoke filled the building.

Authorities said a vehicle blaze erupted on the lower terminal roadway on April 7, causing disruptions amid foggy conditions.

Footage captured by Jeremy Willet shows thick smoke rising from the scene around 2 pm.

The incident coincided with the appointment of Shannetta R. Griffin as the new head of the Maryland Aviation Administration, marking a significant leadership change for the airport.

Authorities have not yet released details on the cause of the fire, but the situation was brought under control shortly after emergency responders arrived.

No injuries were reported.
