Tourists flocked to a fruit stall with a vendor's hilarious sales call playing repeatedly on a loudspeaker.

Footage shows beachgoers lining up to buy refreshing treats, and a female's catchy voice echoes through a megaphone in Krabi, Thailand.

The hawker said: 'Cream corn, cream corn, cream corn.

'Watermelon, watermelon.'

She then broke into a playful tune, singing gibberish that left holidaymakers laughing and entertained on April 1.

The voice continued: 'Coco coconut, coco coconut. Cream corn, cream corn.'

Visitor Sanem said: 'That happened at Maya Bay. It was pretty funny.'

A stallholder's cry to passing shoppers was called a 'Costermonger's Cry' in the markets of East London in the 19th century. In some markets, it is called 'calling out' or 'hawking'.
