Monkey shakes dome on top of mosque
A wild monkey was seen shaking the dome finial on top of a mosque.
Footage shows the macaque clambering onto the structure and tugging at the decorative spire in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The animal held on tightly as it rocked the pointed ornament back and forth on September 3.
The base of the stainless steel metal piece also trembled from the force of the primate.
Resident Azrul said: ‘We scared it away after that, but we did not want to hurt it. Monkeys are also god's creatures.'
The simian left the area without damaging anything.
Monkeys are common in and around Kuala Lumpur, particularly near green areas and tourist attractions. They are often spotted in parks, religious buildings, and forested regions.
