Eyewitness Captures Moment Small Plane Crashes Near I-95 in Boca Raton, Florida

Boca Raton, Florida – April 11, 2025:
A small plane crashed near the I-95 overpass at Glades Road and Military Trail in Boca Raton on Friday, leaving a devastating scene just moments from the nearby airport. The crash, which occurred in the afternoon, resulted in the deaths of at least two people and damaged a nearby vehicle, according to local reports.
Eyewitness Taina (@melaninteetsss) captured the aftermath and described the experience as "traumatizing."
> “It was just honestly shocking. Prior to the plane crashing I could hear and see it going around in circles and I was looking around for it through my rear view because it was so odd to me, and I just felt the ground shake a little and looked over and there was a big flame followed by smoke,” Taina recounted. “It honestly got me really shook.”
Authorities have confirmed there were three people on board the aircraft. Emergency crews responded quickly, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is now investigating the cause of the crash.
Roads near the scene were closed temporarily as officials worked to secure the area. While the exact cause remains unknown, the FAA notes that small plane crashes are often linked to mechanical issues or pilot error—factors that will be examined in the investigation.
