On April 4 in Sanya, Hainan, a foreign female tourist lost a diamond ring while enjoying the beach at Dadonghai with her partner.

The ring held deep sentimental value — it was her engagement ring. Upon realizing it was missing, she became extremely distressed and even burst into tears.

Nearby beachgoers, though unable to communicate fluently with her, quickly understood the situation and spontaneously joined the search.

“No one really said anything, but everyone just quietly started looking,” recalled a witness, Ms. Li. “Some people used sticks, others used their hands — it was a really touching scene.”

After nearly half an hour of searching, an older woman found the ring buried in the sand and returned it immediately to the tourist.

The woman was overwhelmed with emotion, her eyes filled with tears as she hugged the woman tightly and kept repeating, “Thank you” in English. The older woman simply smiled and waved it off, saying, “It was nothing.”
