Lucky the Albino Alligator Returns to Outdoor Pond Paradise
Spring has officially arrived at the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and with it comes the return of one of the zoo’s most unique residents—Lucky the albino alligator! After a cozy winter indoors, Lucky eagerly emerged from his traveling crate and wasted no time making a beeline for his beloved outdoor pond.
Albino alligators are incredibly rare, with their striking white coloration and pinkish eyes caused by a lack of melanin. Because they’re more sensitive to sunlight, their outdoor time is carefully managed—but Lucky made the most of his first day back, soaking in his surroundings and relaxing in the water for hours.
Guests can now visit Lucky daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and witness this extraordinary animal up close. Whether he’s lounging in the sun or gliding through the water, Lucky’s return marks another season of wild experiences at the NEW Zoo!
