Phoenix, United States - April 26, 2025 04/26/2025 11:20 pm (GMT-0700) PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phoenix police attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a Pontiac sedan. The exact location of the initial traffic stop attempt is unknown. The suspect refused to yield, and felony flight was established. Tactical Support Bureau units and the Phoenix Police Air Unit responded to assist. The Phoenix Police Department helicopter located the suspect from above and began tracking the vehicle. A tactical surveillance operation was initiated, and all ground units disengaged while the helicopter tracked the vehicle. The suspect fled north from the I-10 and 7th Street area, leading police through multiple neighborhoods between 7th Street and 16th Street. A short time later, Tactical Support Bureau units converged on the vehicle as it approached 12th Street and Indian School Road. The Grappler Police Bumper was deployed, and the vehicle was successfully disabled. The unidentified driver quickly fled from the vehicle on foot, running south across Indian School Road. Officers gave chase and apprehended the suspect on the property of a school on 12th Street, south of Indian School Road.
