A frightened pet dog was rescued after getting stuck under a car.

The one-year-old female pooch Chao Dang was playing with her siblings when she squeezed herself into the underbelly of the black Toyota SUV.

Pet owner Phanomkwan Sudsom, 38, drove his car to an auto shop to ask for help upon discovering the canine wedged in the frame of the car.

The mechanics lifted the vehicle and found Chao Dang panting from stress as her paws were stuck in the gaps of the undercarriage.

Footage shows how they dismantled the machinery and carried the distressed pet back to her owner. The dog was unhurt following her ordeal.

Relieved Phanomkwan said: 'This morning, I went to look for my three dogs, but Chao Dang was missing. I searched around and finally heard a cry from under the car.

'But when I looked, there was no dog there. It turned out she was stuck near the engine. I had to drive my car to the auto shop for help.'
