Furious tourists caused carnage over a price dispute at a discount store in Bangkok.

The holidaymakers reportedly knocked down tumblers from shelves when the store owner refused to give them discounts on May 19.

Footage shows the two men screaming as they argued with Thai staff. The furious shop owner warned them: 'Don't go. Police come. Bring your passport now.'

Police later arrived and took them to the station for questioning.

Onlooker Suttida Suthivlai, a vendor at the Sampheng Night Market, said: ‘The shop where the incident happened sells insulated tumblers. There were five Indian tourists. Two went into the shop while the other three stayed outside.

‘The tumblers cost around 300 baht, but the tourist tried to negotiate and offered only 100 for the one he wanted to buy.

‘The shop owner refused, so the tourist then said he didn't want to buy it anymore, but instead of putting it back on the shelf, he threw it on the ground.

‘The shop owner called the police, and they went to sort it out at the police station.'

Thailand has been marred by over-tourism from all nationalities as the Thai government pushes visa-free schemes to boost revenue following the barren pandemic years.
