This is the shocking moment furious tourists fought with Thai locals in a row over seats.

The Lebanese couple were said to have lost their temper when a tour agency employee asked them to stop blocking the entrance to their office on holiday island Phuket on Wednesday night.

After being told to sit at the neighbouring massage parlour, the angry female holidaymaker, seen wearing a hijab, hurled an object to the pavement, sparking anger among the Thai workers.

The pair then made their way down an alley, with several furious Thai women still chasing after them.

Footage shows how the female tourist lost her balance during a brief scuffle, prompting her husband to blow up as he bellowed: 'No one touched your sister! F*** all of you, shut the m********** up!'

Both parties later agreed to settle the dispute at the Patong Police Station.

Kaew, the owner of Able Travel and Tours, said: ‘The incident happened last night around 10 to 11 pm.

‘A Lebanese couple sat in front of the shop, which is right between a massage parlour and our tour agency.

‘One of my staff asked them politely if they could sit inside the massage shop instead, because they were blocking our storefront and we needed to be able to serve customers.

‘The wife got upset, asking 'Why can't we sit here?'. My staff explained that they could sit there, just not in front of the shop — only in the other section, further inside.

‘While she was shouting, my staff started recording a video of the argument. That's when the wife grabbed her phone and threw it.

‘When we told them we had security cameras installed, they quickly walked away.

‘After the argument, my staff member's phone was broken and needed a new screen.

‘We ended up settling the matter at Patong Police Station last night, and they agreed to cover the repair costs.'

The once-pristine island of Phuket has been marred by over-tourism as the Thai government implements a visa-free scheme to boost revenue following the barren pandemic years.

Angry locals claim the push for tourist dollars has attracted crowds of 'low-quality' visitors from Russia, India and Australia. There are also fears that the island has become an enclave of criminal activity, with police unable to control street fights and more organised ruffians setting up rackets among local businesses.
