This is the moment a magnitude 6.1 earthquake rattled flour mill in Greece.

CCTV footage shows the tremor shaking equipment at the facility on Greek holiday island Crete, at 6:19 am local time on May 22.

The United States Geological Survey said the quake struck 61 kilometres (38 miles) northeast of Elounda. It was 64 kilometres (40 miles) deep.

Emergency services have warned residents to evacuate from the coast.

Regional government official Georgos Tsapakos said there were no reports of injuries or any serious damage following an initial assessment of the affected areas.

The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre has issued a tsunami warning covering Greece, Turkey, Italy, France and Portugal.
