Los Angeles, United States - May 25, 2025 05/25/2025 12:15 am GMT-0700 MANCHESTER SQUARE, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Two teenage suspects were taken into custody early Sunday morning following a deadly shooting in South Los Angeles that left two men dead and a woman injured, authorities said. The shooting occurred around 6:25 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, near the intersection of Dalton Avenue and Florence Avenue in the Manchester Square neighborhood. Officers from the LAPD’s 77th Street Division were already in the area when they heard gunfire and rushed to the scene. They found three victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Two men — a Black male and a Hispanic male, both in their 20s — were pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel. A third victim, a Hispanic female in her 20s, was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. One suspect was apprehended near the scene shortly after the shooting. The second suspect was arrested following a barricade situation that concluded just after midnight within a secured perimeter. The suspects are reportedly two males, ages 18 and 15. The LAPD has not confirmed whether the shooting was gang-related. The investigation is ongoing.
