A large number of houses in Croki, New South Wales, Austrilia have been declared uninhabitable and unsafe following massive floods triggered by heavy rainfalls. As of Sunday, the floods had killed five people, with several others going missing. As one of the worst-hit areas, Croki has been left with widespread damage, with many houses destroyed or seriously damaged. As the waters have receded, the flood clean-up in the area has begun. Glenn Williams, a local resident, described the flood as the most devastating one he has ever encountered. "See the watermark there? Right? That's all the way around. And then obviously in the laundry it's lower, so the water is higher and it filled up in here and then went through to the front part of the house, which is never happened before," said Glenn while showing the situation in the house. After the waters subsided on Sunday, Glenn returned to clean his house. He said that the extent of the damage was overwhelming, and the house was no longer livable. Local authorities have dispatched teams to assess the damage across the affected areas. Preliminary assessments indicate that nearly every house in Croki is now uninhabitable.
