United States - May 27, 2025 Video footage shows airplanes dropping water to fight fires near Frontier Road and Auberry Road north of Clovis. CAL FIRE and Fresno County Fire crews battled four separate wildland fires across eastern Fresno County yesterday. The Pecan Incident burned 14 acres. It involved 26 firefighters with 6 engines, 2 water tenders, 1 squad, 1 dozer, and support personnel. The Sales Incident covered 4 acres. It required 86 firefighters with 8 engines, 2 dozers, 2 dozer tenders, 2 water tenders, 3 hand crews, 1 air attack, 2 air tankers, and 1 helicopter. The Arm Incident spanned 3 acres. It involved 73 firefighters with 9 engines, 2 dozers, 2 dozer tenders, 2 water tenders, 2 hand crews, 1 air attack, 4 air tankers, and 1 helicopter. The Frontier Incident burned 9 acres. It engaged 3 overhead personnel, 7 engines, 2 dozers, 2 dozer tenders, 2 water tenders, 2 hand crews, 1 air attack, 3 air tankers, and 1 helicopter. Firefighters and support staff worked tirelessly to protect lives, property, and natural resources. The Fresno Command Center handled all 911 calls, dispatched resources, and tracked every team throughout the day.
