Dog steals whole durian from sack in family's garden
A pet dog stole an entire durian from a sack in the garden before taking a huge bite of it.
Footage shows the three-year-old golden retriever named Elmo grabbing the spiky fruit from a bag and carrying it away in Chanthaburi, Thailand.
Elmo sniffed the harvest, known for its strong smell, before licking and biting pieces from it.
The pooch's nose was stained by the creamy flesh before his owner retrieved the expensive fruit.
Pet owner Aon said: ‘Elmo loves eating durian so much. He'll even break the law to get his fix.'
Durian is often called the King of Fruits across Southeast Asia and China, where demand has soared in recent years. However, many hotels, public buildings and transport systems ban durian because of the smell, which many people find repulsive.
