A customer was disgusted when she saw a rat scurrying along a cafe's counter while she ate.

Footage shows the rodent clinging to the rim of a pot and sniffing inside inside in Bali, Indonesia.

The vermin dunked its head into the stainless steel container when diner Puri Nur Cahya spotted.

Puri also showed her nearly-finished bowl of soup as the pest continued to explore the rack containing noodles and vegetables on June 2.

She said: ‘That was near my workplace. I wanted meatball and noodles for lunch so I went there.

‘I was almost done eating when I saw the mouse. It climbed up the cart like there were no people around.'

Puri added the bucket of water provided for washing hands was dirty.

She said: ‘The pot had boiled eggs. The server took it when she had to use it and then returned it like nothing happened.'

‘I was so shocked and left after paying. I will never return.'
